Oxygen Tank began as a quarantine project between Chris Colohan (SECT, Cursed, Left For Dead) and Morgan Carpenter (Hive, Prison Shank). Carpenter wrote a crop of songs inspired by his love of early ‘00s Boston hardcore, and Colohan laid down vocals inspired by his favorite ‘90s Cleveland bands. The result is an EP of catchy, circle-pit friendly hardcore fans of In My Eyes, Ten Yard Fight, and Nine Shocks Terror would all bedroom mosh to. Three ripping original tracks and an updated version of Black Flag’s “Police Story” for the current hellscape.

lyrics
Blue Dot is getting paler
Blue Dot is blinking out
“horrors beyond comprehension”
If this ain’t that then I don’t know
Echoes of a dead star
How’d it make it this far?
Blaming all the scapegoats
Praying to its own excuses
Deluded beyond failure
all the answers in their hands,
they chose convenience and collapse
- is that a tragedy or just a bad joke falling flat?
And all they had to do was look up
And all they had to do was give a fuck
The void will forget the dust
(if it ever noticed us)
the last gasp lost on made up gods
They went down
in a haze of deluded lies
asphyxiation monetized
Hoping against hope against
the tyranny of cause and effect.
Sleepwalking through extinction
Anything but to lay in the bed they made
I don’t know whether to laugh or fucking die.
“You’re Preaching to the mirror,” said the dust / said the dust
“…I’ve never been so ready to be nothing at last” / nothing at last
